You can accept or reject pending user access requests from the Pending Requests tab of the User management page.

  1. Click on the padlock icon User_Management_Padlock_Icon corresponding to the user that you want to modify.
  2. From the User Authorizations dialog box that appears, select a different role (if required) and modify the module authorizations (if required).

A user can only see and access the authorized modules. Unauthorized modules remain hidden to the user.

Note:

When a user's permissions have been modified, they need to log out and log back in for the changes to take effect.

BI Roles

The BI roles determine how much control the users have on your dashboards.

Role type Available role functions
Viewer Can see dashboards
Designer Can modify dashboards
Data Designer Can modify dashboards, and cubes they create / were shared with
Data Admin Can modify dashboards and all cubes, has limited access to the BI admin tab
Admin All above, has complete access to the BI admin tab

For a more granular view of BI roles, you can access the specific Sisense page here.

Group management

Managing multiple users individually can become inefficient. The Groups list tab (described here) lets you create different groups so that you can apply the same set of module authorizations to a group of users.
