We are pleased to announce the release of Zetaly Suite version 5.1. This major update focuses on improving data ingestion, facilitating data exploration, and strengthening performance to manage even higher volumes, particularly for mainframe data (SMF).
🚀 Key New Features
1. New CSV Parser 📁
We are introducing a native CSV parser to diversify your data sources and facilitate the integration of external files:
Simple Parser Definition: Quickly configure new ingestion schemas.
CSV File Import: Directly import files in CSV format.
Homogeneous Processing: Imported data benefits from the same processing as data managed by the Data Lifecycle Management (DLM).
2. New Zetaly Data Explorer 🔍
Exploring your data has never been easier or faster:
Easy Navigation: Facilitates navigation through the different available datasets.
Advanced Filtering Options:
Date Filter: Easily filter on specific time periods.
Field Filters: Apply precise search criteria on any field.
Configurable Columns: Customize the data display by choosing the relevant columns.
CSV Export: Quickly export your filtered data for external analysis.
Query Creation: Create sophisticated queries using absolute or relative date criteria (e.g., the last 7 days).
⚙️ Data Lifecycle Management (DLM) Enhancements
The DLM receives several updates to offer more flexibility in managing the data lifecycle:
New Aggregation Rule:
AGGREGATE_ALL
This rule allows systematic data aggregation, regardless of the data's age, which is particularly useful for transactional data requiring immediate consolidation.
Modification of Active Aggregation: It is now possible to modify an existing aggregation even if it is currently active, offering greater flexibility.
New Widgets: Added dedicated widgets for better visibility into connectors and parsers.
Dashboards:
Synchronous Zoom: Allows the same zoom level to be applied to multiple charts or dashboards simultaneously.
Zoom Shortcuts: Implemented quick time-based shortcuts (e.g., "last 5 minutes").
📈 Performance and Mainframe (SMF)
General Performance
Improved Collection and Aggregation Performance: We have made notable improvements across all processes to handle significant volumes, now supporting several billion SMF records per day without performance degradation.
SMF Data (System Management Facilities)
Legacy SMF Descriptions: Added complete descriptions of Legacy SMF records and their associated fields, facilitating understanding.
Extended SMF110-2 Handling: Enriched support and processing for SMF110 Subtype 2 (CICS) data.
IMS-56A: Added new calculated fields for more in-depth analysis of IMS transactions.
SMF113-2: Corrected the calculation formulas to ensure accurate analysis of z16 processor capacity metrics.
We encourage you to update your instance to version 5.1 to immediately benefit from these new features and enhancements. Please contact our support team for any assistance during the update process.
