While this capping is activated, the MSU consumption can not be above this target MSU. #### Capped by Weight (*hard capping*) When a CPC is overcharged, the target MSU for each LPAR depends on their weight. The target MSU formula is: - Cec capacity * LPAR weight / Sum of active LPAR weight. #### Capped by Defined Capacity (*soft capping*) When an LPAR has a defined capacity greater than 0, soft capping is activated. This capping caps the LPAR to the DC (Defined Capacity) only if the R4H (Rolling 4 hours) is greater than the DC. #### Capped by Logical Processor (*absolute capping*) When an LPAR has less logical processors than the cec processors, it can only consume the percentage of processor. For example, if an LPAR has 3 logical processors on a cec that has 10 processors, your LPAR can only consume 30% of the max MSU.
